HCL Concert Series is yet another initiative taken up by HCL in association with India Habitat Centre, Delhi and The Music Academy, Madras. Through this initiative, HCL provides a renowned platform to upcoming talents in the Indian performing art forms of the country. HCL ‘Expressions of the Mind’ is the salutation to the ‘Gurus’ of Indian classical dance and music. This way HCL strives to showcase the excellence in Indian arts and culture to discerning audiences and the series promises to present hundreds of concerts featuring a variety of artists over several years of its continuation.

A special program of the HCL Concert Series - ‘Expressions of the Mind’ was organized at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 14th Jan 2008 This evening, illustrated the power of expressions of the mind, using the theme of “Celebration-A form of Prayer”

The evening began with a short vocal note by Sudha Raghuraman followed by strong Instrumental composition by Lalgudi Sriganesh which towards the end led to a powerful performance by Pratibha Prahalad, a Bharatnatyam dancer accompanied by Sudha with her melodious singing as a backdrop.

A special program of the HCL Concert Series - ‘Expressions of the Mind’ was organized at The Music Academy, Chennai on 19th September 2008 The premier Indian classical music event once again was very well received with great enthusiasm and excitement as the audience witnessed great performances from T.M. Krishna a well known Carnatic Musician accompanied by other maestros.

The evening commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp and inauguration by Prof. S. Ramachandran, Vice Chancellor-University of Madras.

The event went on very well and was a great success. The event also witnessed keynote address by Dr. Baladev Raj, Distinguished Scientist & Director, Govt. of India, Dept. of Atomic Energy, Indira Gandhi for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam. The event was presided over by Naatyaachaarya Sri. V.P. Dhananjayan as the guest of honour. All in all the entire event was an eventful and entertaining one.

A special program of the HCL Concert Series - ‘Expressions of the Mind-IV’ was organized at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 30th Jan 2007.
This confluence of dance & music was based on the theme - “Love in Abstraction”. The performances included a Vocal recital of Bhakti & Sufi poems by the renowned Vocalist Vidya Shah and A Kathak dance performance by one of the reputed classical danseuse of India, Prerna Shrimali of Jaipur Gharana.

Shri R S Pandey (Secretary, Steel, Govt. of India) was the Chief Guest of the Evening and the evening was well attended by top bureaucrats besides eminent art lovers.

A special program of the HCL Concert Series - ‘Expressions of the Mind-V’ was organized at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 17th August 2007. This confluence of dance & music was based on the theme - “Patterns in Performance”. The performances included an exploration through music by Sarangi maestro Ustad Sabri Khan with son Gulfam Sabri (Tabla) and grandson Suhail Yusuf Khan and an exploration through dance by Bharatnatyam danseuse Geeta Chandran and her Natya Vriksha Dance Company.

Shri K P Singh (Secretary, Defence Production, Govt. of India) & Shri Subhash Pani, (Secretary, Rural Development, Govt of India) were the Chief Guests of the Evening and the evening was well attended by top bureaucrats besides eminent art lovers.

This confluence of dance & music included a scintillating Odissi dance by Padmashri Kiran Sehgal and a spellbinding Sitar & Cello fusion called ‘East marries West’ by Shri. Shubhendra Rao & Smt. Saaskia De Haas Rao.

A special program of the HCL Concert Series - 'Expressions of the Mind - II' was organized at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 23rd January 2005.
This confluence of dance of music included a spellbinding Kathak dance by Padmashri Shovana Narayan and a mind refreshing Sitar recital by Padma Bhushan Pandit Debu Choudhury.

Running every month for six consecutive years, the HCL Concert Series is now an established platform for promoting Indian performing arts. 'Expressions of the Mind' was well attended by top bureaucrats besides eminent art lovers.

To mark the 57th anniversary of India's Independence and celebrate the spirit and prowess of the Indian mind through performing arts, a special program of the HCL Concert Series - 'Expressions of the Mind' was hosted at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on the 11th August evening.
The program included a mind-refreshing recital of ancient Indian Shlokas conducted by the renowned Indian Classical Vocalist Shri. Madhup Mudgal and a spectacular dance performance by the famous Kuchipudi dancing couple Gurus Raja & Radha Reddy acoompanied by Kaushalya, Yamini & Bhavna Reddy.
